Once again our CIM students have done us proud. For both the CIM level 3 and CIM level 4 assessments all of our students passed; the majority of them achieving A's and B's. For the past four years we have achieved an almost 100% pass rate for all modules at these levels. If you would like more information on our CIM courses, please check out our CIM page.
If you're a recent graduate or have graduated in the last 3 years, we have a great opportunity for you to study just 1 module and gain a qualification from the world’s leading professional marketing body, the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing). CIM have been supporting, representing and developing marketers for over 100 years, and their mission is to create marketing advantage for the benefit of professionals, business and society.
So, if you would like to find out more, please take a look at our Graduate Gateway page and then get in touch with us.
We are pleased to announce that ALL of our students have passed the exams/assessments they sat in July. Students sat the CIM Level 3, Level 4 and CAM Diploma courses. Many of the Level 3 and 4 students have now completed all modules and have gained, respectively, the CIM Foundation Certificate in Marketing and the CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing. Quite a few of our students started their CIM Level 3/4 courses in January and February and completed all modules in 6 months - something that is possible with our teaching approach and which they should be, justly, proud.
The students who submitted their CAM Diploma in Digital Marketing assignments were the last to do so (as this was the last exam board for the course) and they all passed and achieved their Diplomas.
Well done to all you. We know you have all worked hard and deserve your qualifications!
Digital marketers who attend our courses tend to either opt for our accredited CIM courses or go for one of our one-day courses. The CIM route means that students do either two or three modules of the level 3, level 4 or level 6 the Qualifications; these are either assessment or exam-based. These obviously involved some time commitment and can be more expensive. Traditionally, students have wanted to do the full certificates or diploma.
However, we are increasingly seeing that students are requesting bite- sized qualifications which, in turn lead to awards. Why? It could be due to budget or time commitment or just that students want to focus on specific awards like digital marketing. The beauty of doing a bite-sized award is that you still end up with a recognised, relevant qualification - from CIM.
To this end we have come up with a set of packages focused on different people's skills sets and needs, which include a mixture of CIM qualifications and hands-on practical courses.
So, what are the options?
Social Video is, without a doubt, making huge steps forward. Regardless of the platform you are using - be it Facebook, Linkedin Twitter, Instagram or Snapchat - you will have seen a big increase in the use of video by brands and organisations over the past year or so. And if you have a good look around the Internet, you are bound to come up with stats like this (from Global Web Index) which show the amazing rise of video and, going hand-in-hand with it, a rise in the viewing rates.
People are increasingly watching video and companies need to get used to it and, potentially, change the type of content they are posting to social media. We have come through text, then video and are now in the era of video.
Last week Marketing Tom, in association with Anna Brees, launched a new course aimed at Social Media users. Our Mobile Video for Social Media course is aimed at those who are using Social Media but are aware of the limitations of their video capabilities. Our new course is designed to give students the basic building blocks from which they can start to create content tailored t the needs of their audience. Our objective in creating this course was to ensure that students could start creating their own content with just a smartphone and an application. We think our first course went well and we look forward to welcoming new people in the months to come.
For just under a year CIM have been offering the new-look CIM Level 4 Certificate in Professional Marketing and since January 2018 Marketing Tom has officered this qualification. The aim of the qualification is to provide the practising marketer with relevant, contemporary marketing content to equip them for the current global landscape. One of the main draws of CIM qualifications is the ability to bring learning to life through meaningful assessments which embrace the modern marketing industry. We have a achieved a 100% Pass Rate across all CIM/CAM courses since 2015 with 84% achieving A's and B's
Who is it for?
The CIM Level 4 Certificate in Professional Marketing is aimed at the aspiring professional marketer who wishes to gain knowledge and skills to succeed and progress with a career in marketing. Ideal for those working in marketing support roles (e.g. marketing assistants) or whose current job encompasses elements of marketing.

Our latest book offer is from one of the most well-known faces of SEO, Rand Fishkin, who set up the SEO company Moz, a company that "is the world's most popular provider of inbound marketing software (Crunchbase)."
Everyone knows how a startup story is supposed to go: a young, brilliant entrepreneur has an cool idea, drops out of college, defies the doubters, overcomes all odds, makes billions and becomes the envy of the technology world.
This is not that story.
Rand Fishkin, the founder and former CEO of Moz, is one of the world's leading experts on SEO. Moz is now a $45 million a year business, but Fishkin's business and reputation took 15 years to grow, and his startup began not in a Harvard dorm room but as a mother-and-son family business that fell deeply into debt.
In Lost and Founder Fishkin pulls back the curtain on tech startup mythology, exposing the ups and downs of startup life that most CEOs would rather keep secret. For instance: a minimally viable product can be destructive if you launch at the wrong moment. Growth hacking may be the buzzword du jour, but initiatives to your business can fizzle quickly. Revenue and profitability won't protect you from layoffs. And venture capital always comes with strings attached.
"This book is an honest, generous and useful look at what actually happens when you build a company, including the downs as well as the ups... I wish I had read it thirty years ago" Seth Godin
'Rand Fishkin is like the industry friend we all wish we had - funny, warm, and refreshingly honest about the rollercoaster ride that is founding your own company" Julie Zhou, VP of Product Design at Facebook
