Assignments and Support
Each of the modules of the CAM Diploma in Digital Marketing require candidates to complete assessments. The assignments are practical and questions usually focus on how digital tools can be applied to an organisation of your choice. Students are able to submit to one of the four exam boards that take place throughout the year. Tutorial support is offered by Marketing Tom Media, either through one-to-one tutorials or email/phone support. Students are also able to access a Study Area on our website where they can see Past Reports, Assignment Briefs, Senior Examiner reports, Videos and Articles of Interest.
In order to sit the CAM Diploma you will need to register with the Chartered Institute of Marketing. For more information on costs and benefits and to register, please visit our CIM Membership page.
Exemptions exist for the above modules, meaning that you only have to study for two modules instead of three and thus saving money on the tuition fees. For more information, take a look at our exemptions page.
More about CAM
In 2000 the CAM Foundation formed an alliance with The Chartered Institute of Marketing and since then CAM qualifications have been managed and awarded by the Institute. All students studying for a CAM qualification must retain CIM membership for the duration of their studies. In simple terms, CAM is treated as a part of the Institute which delivers marketing communications focused qualifications, yet the CAM Foundation remains a separate entity with its own Board of Trustees.
- CAM is an industry led and nationally recognised educational body that acts as the glue between the various disciplines of the communication industry
- CAM bridges the gap between the academic and the practical. As students say "The courses are immediately relevant to my work the next day in the office!"
- CAM is kept up- to- date by leading communication experts and the majority of tutors are practitioners in the industry
- CAM is flexible and relevant making the CAM Diplomas eminently suitable for anyone's continuing professional development

"Alun delivered a thoroughly enjoyable course for the CAM Diploma in Digital Marketing, which has allowed me to gain an accredited qualification in the field of digital media, as well as developing my knowledge and experience. Our new company website will allow me to apply this knowledge and I hope to attend further courses with Alun in social media and search engine optimisation to continue my development."
Clint Middleton, Menter A Busnes (Aberystwyth)
"I took the CAM Diploma in Digital Marketing to refresh my existing marketing qualifications which I had completed over 10 years previously. I found the study for the course both challenging and interesting - getting really stuck into research for the assignments.
I chose Marketing Tom Media as my course centre, as I had seen our tutor Alun John speak on social networking sites at a conference and been impressed with his knowledge and practical approach. The teaching sessions were comprehensive and interactive, and the support was great - he produced specific websites containing up-to-date information, sources, comments and blogs for each module which were invaluable. Whilst the course has some theory, the emphasis is very much on the practical and innovative. I've applied the knowledge I've gained in studying for the Diploma in lots of different ways for my organisation - I would thoroughly recommend doing this course with Marketing Tom."
Amanda Walton, New College (Swindon)
