The CAM Diploma in Digital Marketing is being retired in July 2018 and we have now run our last course modules. However, we are pleased to announce that the Chartered Institute of Marketing has approved Marketing Tom Media to deliver the CIM Certificate in Professional Marketing. Some of you may also qualify for the New CIM Digital Diploma in Professional Marketing which we begin delivering in June.
This qualification provides you with the essential knowledge and skills you need to plan, implement and monitor effective digital marketing campaigns and contribute to operational marketing plans, using the latest digital tools and practices.The qualification covers the following:
- Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
- Pay Per Click (PPC)
- Social Media
- Types of Online Advertising
- Email Marketing
- Online PR
- Affiliate Marketing
- Digital Analytics
It also looks at digital marketing planning (including SOSTAC methodology and Digital Marketing Mix), legislation, regulation and codes of practice.
There are three modules to the CAM Diploma in Digital Marketing:
The Marketing and Consumer Behaviour Module is a double module of the CAM Diploma in Marketing Communications. This unit aims to provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary in managing marketing communications and brand support activities within organisations. The unit explains the links between communications and marketing and provides knowledge of fundamental theories of consumer behaviour, and their application to marketing communications
The Digital Marketing Planning Award aims to provide students with the skills and knowledge to understand the fundamental digital marketing planning concepts for an organisation together with key factors involved with the implementation, measurement and evaluation of successful campaigns.
The Digital Marketing Essentials Award aims to provide candidates with the skills and knowledge necessary in planning digital marketing campaigns within organisations.
Each of the modules are delivered from Cardiff Gate Business Park and students benefit from:
- Two days' attendance
- Both our CAM Diploma tutors have 10 years and 20 years' experience delivering CIM courses
- 95% Pass Rate
- Limited course numbers (often 6-8 delegates)
- Online learning - comprising notes, slides, activities, links and digital marketing updates
- Monthly delivery - every month we deliver one of the modules
Assignments and Support
Each of the modules of the CAM Diploma in Digital Marketing require candidates to complete assessments. The assignments are practical and questions focus on how digital tools can be applied to an organisation of your choice. Students are able to submit to one of the three exam boards that take place throughout the year. Once you have completed the course we offer the following support:
- One-to-one tutorials or email/phone support.
- Access to a Study Area on our website where they can see Past Reports, Assignment Briefs, Senior Examiner reports, Videos and Articles of Interest.
You need to be educated to at least
- A’ Level standard (or equivalent) and fulfil at least one of these criteria:
- Have suitable competence in a marketing communications role.
- Hold any general Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Hold a CIM Introductory Certificate in Marketing (Level 2 or 3).
- Have an NVQ or SVQ Level 4 in any other subject (UK – equivalent to NGF Level 4 and above).
- Hold an International Baccalaureate (equivalent to NQF Level 3 and above) or a pass of the entry test onto Level 4.
- If English isn’t your first language, you will also need to provide us with evidence of at least IELTS 6.5 proficiency or Trinity ISE III/IV.

Exemptions exist for the above modules, meaning that you only have to study for two modules instead of three and thus saving money on the tuition fees. For more information, take a look at our exemptions page.
The cost of attending the three modules of the CAM Diploma in Digital Marketing is £1500 (+VAT). This includes:

The Communications Advertising and Marketing (CAM) Education Foundation is a registered charity that offers qualifications in digital and offline marketing communications. In 2000 the CAM Foundation formed an alliance with The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and since then CAM qualifications have been awarded by CIM.
