Marketing Tom Facebook Business Page

As many of you already know Facebook pages are increasingly being used by companies to speak to their target audiences on a channel that they, the target audience, are comfortable with. Established companies like Dell, Starbucks, Nike are all dipping their toes into this area, as are newer tech companies like Mashable and Techcrunch. These pages allow companies to post their thoughts and opinions to a target audience which are now called 'Fans' and here they can exchange thoughts and have conversations with them. In some cases they also allow the ability for companies to garner information from their customers in the form of polls and forms. 
For those who question the logic behind companies using these channels, you could say that they have simply identified the need to 'go fishing where the fishes swim'.
The new Marketing Tom Facebook Page will post the latest news on Social Media and information about courses, along with feed information from both the blog and Twitter. It will also have a library of videos, streamed from YouTube, on topics such as Social Media, Digital Marketing, Google Analytics, general business and much more.

As a Social Media Marketing provider I am will be using this channel as a vehicle to connect with new customers, past customers, prospective customers and those generally interested in Internet Marketing (especially Social Media Marketing).
